BIOGRAPHY OF THE DIRECTOR

Fernando Ocampo Dela Cruz is the founder and Managing Director of APTCO Builders Pty Ltd. His exemplary discipline in work ethics and dedication towards his craft are strongly influenced by close family ties and responsibility towards his clients, workers and trade partners. With an outstanding experience of more than twenty years of Building Construction, Structural Engineering and Project Management, his reputation as a builder is impeccable and impressive. His primary focus on the field is undertaking Commercial, Residential and Industrial Building projects.

In 1984, Fernando began his career as Building Construction Project Supervisor. After graduating in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering in overseas, combined with a remarkably set of skills that made him always a step ahead with colleagues, he was promptly promoted as a Construction Manager and Contractor to oversee various construction projects.

He migrated to Melbourne, Australia in 1988, and joined a building construction firm based in Melbourne until 1993 as a Project Manager, Chief Estimator and Reinforcing Steel Design and Scheduler. During this period, his involvements were crucial factors in developing major Residential, Commercial and Industrial Building projects, such as Apartments, Houses, Hospitals, Theaters, Offices and Warehouses around Melbourne.

After completing the Civil/Structural Engineering, Concrete Technology, Total Quality Management, and Building Registration course, he was admitted to the Building Practitioners Board as a Domestic Builder and Commercial Builder Unlimited, Civil and Structural Engineer Practitioners. He joined the Master Builders Association in Victoria (MBAV) as a Specialist Builder and the Housing Industry Association (HIA).

In the same year, he started his own building construction company, the APTCO Builders Pty Ltd with his first display house in Melbourne. This was the start of his long career, building several prestigious residential and commercial projects in Melbourne. His other notable experience was serving as a Managing Director of BES Group, a Structural Engineering and Concrete Remedial Engineering Consultant Firm based in Melbourne.

Currently, Fernando is a Chartered Professional Engineer APEC Engineer IntPE (Aust) of the Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAust), members of the Association of Consulting Structural Engineers in Victoria (ACSEV), Foundation Footing Society of Victoria (FFSV), Board of Professional Engineers of Queensland(BPEQ), Association of Professional Engineers and Managers Australia (APESMA), Fellow Member of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and Professional Engineer Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He is a member and a former Grand Princep of the Beta Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association in Melbourne Australia.
